Look, I'll be straight with you. Back in 2017, I was burnt out from the whole corporate grind - sitting in meetings, feeling like I was going nowhere fast. Hit the gym one day after a particularly rough week and something just clicked during a brutal HIIT session.
That's when I realized training wasn't just about getting ripped or losing weight. It was about finding that fire inside when everything else feels like it's falling apart. The void we all feel sometimes? Yeah, that's real. But you can climb out of it.
Started training friends in a basement gym in East Van. Word spread, people showed up, and honestly the transformations I witnessed were wild. Not just physical stuff - I'm talking about people finding confidence they didn't know they had.
Three years later, we opened VoidSpire on Granville Street. The name isn't some fancy marketing thing - it's literally the journey. You start in the void, feeling stuck, and you build yourself up piece by piece until you're stronger than you ever thought possible.

Cookie-cutter programs don't cut it. We assess where you're starting from, listen to what you actually want, and build something that fits your life. Got a bum shoulder? We work around it. Hate running? Cool, there's other ways to build cardio.
We're not following some Instagram trend or whatever's hot this month. Our programming is rooted in actual sports science and years of coaching experience. If something works, we use it. If it's just hype, we skip it.
Quick fixes don't last - you know this already. We're building habits and strength that'll serve you for decades, not just for beach season. That means proper form, injury prevention, and teaching you the why behind everything.
Located right on Granville Street in downtown Vancouver, we've got 5,000 square feet of training space that's actually designed for serious work. No mirrors everywhere or fancy juice bars - just quality equipment, good lighting, and room to move.
We've got dedicated zones for strength training, a turf area for sled pushes and sprints, Olympic lifting platforms, battle ropes, and all the tools you need for proper HIIT work. Everything's maintained regularly because broken equipment is just annoying.
The changing rooms are clean (we're serious about this), there's filtered water stations throughout, and yeah, we've got good WiFi because sometimes you need to check something between sets.
